GSM communication for elevator remote monitoring, emergency systems

An elevator equipment protected by remote control of an elevator with its emergency call system may be suitable for passengers trapped in lifts to feel safe 24 hours a day. In the event of an emergency, passengers in the lift can contact the dispatchers at the touch of a button.

There are two ways to convert your existing or new elevator emergency call device to GSM.

Among the emergency devices on the market, you can find one where you can connect the line output of your GSM communicator instead of a landline telephone line: the EasyLine GSM

The other solution is when the elevator caller has the speaker and microphone connectors and the GSM module has a speaker / microphone connection also. In this case, the emergency call will be connected as an intercom.

The main difference between the two solutions is that in the case of the line replacement, the conversation passes through the GSM module:

the line is picked up by the emergency caller and the call is initiated by the emergency caller.

In the other case, we have to program in the GSM module the phone number we want to call (elevator remote monitoring), which the GSM module will call due to the change of input status.

In the latter case, thanks to the pressing of the button in the elevator, the call is initiated with the contact coming to the input of the GSM module.

The GSM module behaves like a "hands-free" mobile phone.

Do you want to replace the phone line? - EasyLine GSM!

EasyLine GSM simulates a traditional telephone line (PSTN) and can transmit voice / communication from an elevator caller over a GSM network. The module allows two-way conversation as long as we do not end the call, so we can talk to the people in the elevator and get information about the situation.

Plug & Play application: works immediately when using line replacement, no programming required after connection. The line output (TIP RING) can measure a line voltage of 48V, while it gives a ringing voltage of 72V for an incoming call, ie when the GSM module is called and passes the line to the connected device.

This allows the connected device to detect and answer an incoming call.

It can be used to transmit most commonly used protocols (eg Contact ID, 4/2 or SIA FSK) also. The code generated by the control panel (or other connected device) is transmitted in the form of a voice call on the simulated line via the GSM network.

It can be programmed remotely using SMS commands, from any phone number as long as we know the correct security code. You can forward the SMS sent to the GSM module to a number so that you get all the important information such as balance status or service provider information.

The "SMS input" is NC by default, so it sends an SMS to a pre-programmed phone number in the event of an interruption (power failure, alarm, emergency call with pushbutton).
The module includes an OC output that can be controlled by free voice call identification.

Depending on the SIM card memory, you can save up to 250/500 pre-stored phone numbers. (It can be used to control an input on another device, eg emergency stop, power strip, etc.) Only the numbers entered have permission, so unauthorized and accidental calls will not be able to control it.

It has an SMA antenna connector, which can be extended with SMA-Cable if required, or amplified with the SMA-Grand 7 high-gain antenna in case of low signal strength.

Would you rather connect a microphone and speaker to a GSM module? - InterCom GSM!

The InterCom GSM module has 5 contact inputs (NO / NC) and can make calls to 8 telephone numbers. The ringing time can be specified for telephone numbers, so if someone does not answer the call within that time, the module will start dialing the next number.

It establishes a connection to the called number via a GSM network, so the distance is unlimited and only the power supply needs to be provided to operate the device. After receiving a call, you can choose to control two outputs, which you can control separately during a call with the keys on your phone (DTMF tones). You can also set the type of outputs (mono- / bistable) and the duration of the control separately.

We can control the outputs with and without caller ID. The power monitoring feature allows you to be notified of a power outage via SMS or voice message. (Also works in the event of a power failure by connecting a ProBattery). The device can store 16,000 events and also logs the field strength every hour.
