Enigma II expansion options

Enigma II expansion options

If you use the Enigma II for receiving alarm transmissions, you can expand the number of your clients along with improving your monitoring station.

The Enigma II monitoring receiver provides a complex and reliable solution to build up a modern monitoring station. The device is capable of receiving signals from alarm control panels through IP network and/or telephone line channel. Due to the universal operation, the device can receive all standard (and most of the non-standard) signals from alarm control panels and communicators.

Thanks to the card system, it is really easy to replace the modules as well as expand ing the receiver or change its configuration. All you need is a screwdriver.
The Enigma II base unit itself consists of a CPM2 (Central Processing Module) and a PWR2 (Power Card) mounted in a 19″ rack housing. With a big LCD screen, this minimal setup of Enigma II is already capable of receiving and processing messages from IP and GPRS communicators as well as reporting to some monitoring software running on PC.

The Enigma II. the receiver has 8 slots to connect IP Ethernet-based receiver cards or LC line cards.

Enigma II. LC2 card

  • Line Card for PSTN network
  • (PSTN) pulse 10-40 bps, receiving DTMF, SIA FSK formats
  • Caller identification
  • 2-way audio
  • PSTN line receiver module with protection against overvoltage
  • stores up to 2000 events

The LC line cards can monitor one telephone line. Each telephone line card has memory to store up to 2000 events or caller ID. Caller ID function is built-in, the caller telephone number is stored and can be transmitted to the monitoring computer. Line cards support two-way audio communication as well. Line cards are continuously monitored by CPM. All line card troubles are displayed immediately at LCD display and transmitted to the monitoring computer. The line card monitors the connection with CPM as well, if it detects trouble automatically switches to the standalone operation mode. In this case, it continues event receiving but stores them in its own memory. All received events will be sent automatically to CPM when the connection is restored.

Enigma II. IP2 card

  • up to 2500 accounts, stores 12000 events
  • Ethernet 100Base-TX, AES/DES encryption
  • programming through USB
  • IP test message monitoring (Polling)

IP cards can work in standalone mode, they control individually the incoming events through the Ethernet line. Then, the cards forward the events to the central processing unit of the main receiver through an internal receiver bus. By means of IP cards, give an extended range in IP receiving functions (comparing to CPM card in base receiver unit). Additionally, it provides the possibility to connect the system to a secondary Internet provider.
