Gate, Barrier, and Garage Door Control

Why should you expand or replace your traditional remote control?

Traditional remotes used for controlling gates, garage doors, and barriers can now be replaced or supplemented with numerous alternative solutions. Choosing the right product depends on the number of gates, garage doors, or barriers you want to control and the channel or technology you use.

Disadvantages of traditional remotes

  • Easily damaged or lost: Remotes can be easily broken or misplaced.
  • Frequent battery replacement: Batteries need to be replaced regularly.
  • Security risks: Remotes can be easily copied and handed to anyone, meaning we can't know who can open the apartment complex gate or site. Unauthorized individuals may gain access.
  • Complicated programming: Programming remotes (collecting existing remotes) can be cumbersome if we want to remove lost remotes from the control system.
  • Specialist dependency: Adding new remotes often requires a specialist.
  • Wear and tear: Remotes wear out, buttons can degrade, contact becomes uncertain, and obtaining replacement batteries can be challenging.

Why switch to phone-based gate control?

  • Additional feature: The previously used opening method remains, supplemented with a new feature.
  • Always accessible: Our phone is usually with us, so there is no need to search for it.
  • Easy charging: If the phone battery runs out, it can be easily charged, even in the car.
  • Compatibility: We have solutions for both traditional and smartphones, so the type of device the user has is not an issue.
  • Unique identifiers: Each user has a unique identifier, which can be easily added or removed from the gate control module.
  • Cost-effective: For the price of 2-3 remotes, you can get a gate control module that pays off in the short term, especially in places like apartment buildings, schools, or companies where many people need access.
  • Universal fitting: The mobile phone gate opener can be connected to most gate controls within minutes. Ideally, only four wires need to be connected (two for the power supply and two for the control signal).
  • Multiple gates: You can open multiple gates with one mobile phone and control multiple gates with one gate control module.
  • Remote user management: Users can be managed remotely via a web browser or SMS, depending on the need.

Types of phone-based gate openers

  1. GSM / 3G / 4G gate openers:

    • Operate with a SIM card.
    • Use free call functionality.
    • It can handle up to 1000 phone numbers.
  2. WIFI remote control:

    • The control module connects to the cloud via the WIFI network.
    • The gate can be opened via an app.
  3. IP remote control:

    • The IP module connects to the cloud via a LAN connection.
    • Only works with smartphones; after installing the app, a control icon needs to be created.
  4. Bluetooth connection:

    • The gate can be controlled via an app on the phone within Bluetooth range (10-15-20 meters).
  5. Combined solutions:

    • GSM + Data Card: Free call and app control.
    • WIFI + Bluetooth: Local and remote control via the app.
    • GSM + WIFI/Bluetooth: This can be opened locally and remotely from both traditional and smartphones, with call and app control.

With these solutions, gate, garage door, and barrier control become much more convenient and secure, and the investment pays off in the long run.
