Alarm panel event forwarding

Alarm panel forwarding is used when we want to send alerts from our alarm system to ourselves or a monitoring station, which can then provide supervision by applying the appropriate protocol.

When forwarding, we can choose between SMS and/or voice calls, the latter of which allows pre-recorded voice messages to be played. You can add up to 8 notification phone numbers and select a circular call function, where each phone number must acknowledge the notification.

Events can be received either from the alarm panel’s output or via the telephone line (line) connection in Contact ID format:

  • Output events: In this case, the alarm panel's outputs are connected to the signalling module's input. The number of outputs and inputs will determine how many distinguishable events can be handled.
  • Telephone line forwarding: In this case, the Contact ID can be converted to SMS using the ProLine 4G module, allowing up to 250 events and 250 zones to be paired and sent to up to 8 phone numbers.

The signalling modules also feature outputs, allowing the system to be armed or disarmed when connected to the alarm panel's key switch input.

A specific module can handle both tasks if you also want to signal to a monitoring station. The main question will be the type of signalling channel: GSM, GPRS, 4G, or IP.

Higher security can be achieved by selecting a module with multiple channels and providing a secondary (backup) signalling mode if the main communication channel is unavailable.
